Checklist for perfect wedding flowers

Use this list to help you prepare before meeting with one of our floral designers.

1. First, decide your budget for flowers. Feel free to present this to the designer at the beginning of your meeting. This way, we’ll be better able to guide you to choices that not only fit your style but also your budget.
2. Choose a bouquet style that complements your gown. A simple dress is best accented by a nosegay or classic hand-tied bouquet. These styles are round in shape and easy to hold. We can design these styles to fit your color scheme. If you are wearing a very ornate gown, you may want to consider a cascade style bouquet. Cascade styles are much more dramatic and grand and will complement the style of your dress.
3. Bring a sample of fabric or a photo showing the color of your bridesmaids’ dresses. You’ll better be able to see what colors and flowers will best complement your wedding party.
4. Create a list of all attendants whom you’d like to wear flowers. You can choose to honor all your special guests with a boutonniere or corsage. Remember your mom, mother of the groom, your dad and father of the groom, grandparents, flower girls, readers, and anyone else with a special role during your ceremony.
5. If you will be decorating the tables with floral centerpieces or blooming plants, have an idea of the number of tables at your reception. Also, consider decorating the gift table or bar area.
6. Consider whether you’d like to have flowers decorating the church or ceremony location. We design altar arrangements, door decorations and pew bows.
7. We can make suggestions for keeping to your budget for decorating your ceremony and reception site. We can rent green foliage plants for your event. We have a full garden center and greenhouses brimming year-round with blooming plants that make great centerpieces.
